Wester Hailes Mobility Hub + Call for Creative Mural Ideas

The Trust is pleased to announce that we’ve begun the process of converting a 40’ shipping container into a Wester Hailes Mobility Hub + Tool Library (in accordance with Wester Hailes Local Place Plan Project 19, Re-Parking)! The container will provide bikes and tools for free loan, workshops, loads of community information, a green roof, free coffee and tea, and patio seating.

Want to get involved in the process? Email Info@WesterHailesCT.Org.Uk to be added to the Mobility Hub project group!

In the meantime, we’re asking for the community’s input and ideas for what they’d like to see included in the mural that will be painted on the outside of the container by brilliant mural artist Natasha Russell. On Sunday, April 7th we held a co-design event at the Community Wellbeing Collective where we worked together to come up with creative ideas we’d like to see incorporated into the final artwork! It was a brilliant day of collaborative creativity as pictured below.

Didn’t get the chance to attend the event but still want to have your say on the design of the mural? Get your creative juices flowing and fill out this design worksheet and return it to the Trust at Info@WesterHailesCT.Org.Uk.

Further updates to come shortly! And be sure to take a peek at the rough proposed design of the hub below:
