Funding

If you have an idea for an event or activity that can take place in Wester Hailes – and fits with the WHCT priorities – then now is your chance to make it happen!

You can apply by email, letter, video, or completing an application form.

WE CURRENTLY HAVE FOUR LEVELS OF GRANTS AVAILABLE


SMALL SPARKS: GRANTS UP TO £250

Small Sparks is about helping local people turn an idea into an activity that benefits the community.

  • You can ask for up to £250.
  • Your activity needs to be carried out within 3 months of getting the money.
  • We often provide a voucher if your activity is around buying equipment, materials etc.
  • In return, all we want is a photo/ video of your activity in action and a few words telling us what difference you have made.
  • You can only make one application at a time

You can apply by email, letter, video, or completing an Small Sparks Application form. Decisions made on a rolling basis.

LEVEL 1: GRANTS OF £250 – £2,500

We welcome applications from voluntary organisations which meet the following criteria:

Groups must be constituted with at least 2 (non related) signatories, or newly formed groups can be sponsored by a founding partner of WHCT (see other points to note for a list of founding partners).

Priority will be given to organisations which demonstrate local partnership working and are applying for new activities.

The project must fit in with 1 or more of the Trust priorities and the application should describe how you will meet these priorities.

Download the Level 1: Grant Application Guidelines for full details and the Level 1: Grant Application to apply. Decisions made every other month. Upcoming deadlines are 27th July 2018, 28th September 2018, 30th November 2018, 25th January 2019.


LEVEL 2: GRANTS OF £2,500 - £5,000

We welcome applications from voluntary organisations which meet the following criteria:

Groups which are constituted and have a bank account with at least 2 (non-related) signatories AND independently examined accounts for, at least, the last financial year.

Organisations must demonstrate local partnership working and be applying for new activities.

Download the Level 2: Grant Application Guidelines for full details and the Level 2: Grant Application to apply. Decisions made quarterly. Upcoming deadlines are 28th September 2018 and 25th January 2019.


LEVEL 3: GRANTS OF £5,000 - £7,500

We welcome applications from voluntary organisations which meet the following criteria:

Groups which are constituted and have a bank account with at least 2 (non-related) signatories AND independently examined accounts for, at least, the last financial year.

Organisations must demonstrate local partnership working and be applying for new activities.
